Massive Jellyfish Invasion

Wednesday, 22 Jul 2009

Japanese researchers monitoring the activity of giant jellyfish (aka Nomura’s jellyfish) in Chinese waters are warning of a potentially historic and catastrophic invasion this year.

The researchers warn that ocean currents may move the massive creatures to Japan’s waters, which would hurt their fishing industry and in the past has caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage nationwide.
